Default Motor Thief, Calling on the help of true shops and racers

MODS, if this is not a good place to post this, i apologize in advance. This subforum, 99% of the time, has true, serious, and good hearted shops and racers and i'm hoping they can help a customer of mine

I'm posting this for a customer of mine, who does not have a honda-tech account.

My customer had two motors that was he was having put together by a guy named Jeffrey Ross Jefford. Jeffrey was original from Milford, Nebraska, moved to Modesto, California. My customer, Kyle Calkins has been trying for months to get in touch with the guy, and make the effort to get his stuff back, but to no avail. Kyle has created a police report, and has followed the steps of the law to help try and get his stuff back.. The police have contacted jeff, and at one point he even admitted to having kyle's stuff but is in cali and the police have told kyle, until he comes back, there's nothing they can do. Kyle wants to try and get a laywer together , but i told him I'd see if i could get the word out and maybe get some helping hands from the racing world.

People who know me, know i dont stand for his BS, ripping customers off, no communication, stealing.. This has plagued the import world from day one. I'm not looking to get someone beat up or threaten. I'm looking to have someone pick these motors up, or at least help kyle get what he's spent almost 8K invested in.

You can PM me or email me @ Derek@DDTECHCAMS.com for Kyle's information.

I'm sorry, if this seems like a rant. I consider all of my customers friends and family, and if i can help in some way, i always will... I've made a post on facebook tagging both kyle and Jeffrey, and hoping more people see it and can at least help in some way.

Thank you guys.

Not at all Chad - I'm glad you responded, i had a feeling you weren't in this to begin with, so nothing of that sort was made to sound like it did..
Some guy who saw my post FB, mentioned that you and him were friends at one point. Thank you very much for clearing the air a bit.. I hate seeing this happen, i know it has nothing to do with you buddy. Thanks again for the response.

Jeff Jefford HAS STOLEN BEFORE AND CONTINUES TO DO SO! Here are a few links to a previous theft ring he was involved in. This time he is acting alone, as far as we know of.

Maybe you can call his local police? Being that he has a background obviously. But then again they may hold the motors for evidence until the trial has ended, and they release them.

good luck man. If theres anything i notice about hondas is that they are addicting. And when addicted, theft sometimes seems like the best option. Just like a drug

How does a guy like that land an engine build? Probably quoted $500 less than a real shop. There are lots of real engine shops that take care of customers.

UPDATE!:

Thanks to Chad Barber @ barber shop performance (CTRPARTS.com) DDTECH and Barber have gotten both motors in the hands of Chad, so they can be returned to kyle.. This is the latest update as of 5:30 CST.

I want to thank everyone who's had a hand in this and helping in anyway they can. Chad has gone above and beyond to get this thing resolved with me and has been a great help.. Kyle's been down for MONTHS about this situation and now it looks like its finally coming to an end..

I want to make sure that everyone knows, that Chad and his business had nothing to do with Jeff's problems or mistakes.. And this is just a true testiment of what kind of business and person chad is and runs.

Chad and I spent alot of time in the last 24 hours getting **** together.. we hate seeing this in the industry..

Guys getting ripped off for front ends, guys having engines built and not recieving.. nobody can police everything but I for one, will do my best to help anyone out, when I can, if I can..because thats the type of person i am, thats how i run my business.
