Default TRIBUTE to Dynamic Performance's "Black Lavendar" Alpha Racing/ESR 9 Sec Civic Crash

This past weekend at the World Cup Finals Paul Protacio's SFWD Civic crashed into the wall after a 9 second run. Paul fortunately came of the crash unscathed...but...the car was totaled.

ESR is hosting a 500 LIKE SALUTE (our version of the 21 gun salute) as a tribute to "Black Lavendar". Click here to LIKE the post and we hope Paul will get inspired to get back on the track in the future!
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

Once the post reaches 500 likes we'll release the video of the crash shot by E-Racer Productions from the grand stands.

When I saw this over the weekend I was really disappointed but happy to know Paul was ok, which was really so much more important. Good going Paul and DP crew you guys looked great out there as much as its sad that the car is totaled let the positive be it will be replaced and the driver was not hurt.

And that right there is the difference between ****-Etown safety crew and MIR.....Once again Jason Miller you guys did a fantastic job.

Sorry for the loss Paul, Such a nicely done car and your pride and joy. Its gotta be hard but the important thing is your OK and Im sure you will come back out harder and better.

Damn i remember Paul winning his first bracket race in this car. Glad he is ok and ready to build another beast! MIR s safety truck on route before the car came to a stop! Props to the safety crew on being aware of what's happening and keeping everyone safe.

SHiiii. That safety crew was on point. Unlike the houston team when Hobbs hit.

Here's what happened: The head gasket popped as well as both radiator hoses around the 1000ft mark. When that happened the heat and moisture fogged up the windshield (45 degrees out) and Paul was blinded as well as the car started drifting from the rear tires getting wet. Paul tried to pull the chute to straighten out the car but it was too late.

Looks like you can't read. Are you people reading? He lost the headgasket and coolant hoses. SMH

Paul, as you know I'm here to help. You helped me and I'm here to help you, bud. Let me know if you decide to rebuild. I'll donate anything I can and I'll gladly lend a hand.

Best of luck.

Wow is all i can say, i had a near miss on thrusday testing, i never got of the line but when i looked ahead i had a mustang sideways in my lane at about 200 feet out, i can only imagine the result of that if i had of got off the line.

Glad tosee you are ok paul, hope to see you back at it next year
