Default Another civic starting issue and shift linkage

ok guys, i have 2 issues/probs with my 99 si turbo on e85. starting and shift linkage
1) it takes about 4-5 cranks to start the car. only happens when the engine is cold/like park overnight even inside garage. i did lots of research on honda/acura site and did some some process of elimination.
Here's what i've done so far.
*fuel pump is good-wally 255 new fuel filter, have aem fpr
* fuel pressure is good, gauge reads 40 psi when primed
*main relay looks clean when pulled and inspect...retouch solder ends...can hear click
*dizzy is good have 2 of them...one was convert to msd external coil, box and wires
*put new ngk plugs, cap and rotor
*battery, starter, alt are good
* not sure is cleaning tb and iacv would help
the only thing that left is the injectors...i heard that it could be leaking/open and flood the cylinder. i have 880cc injectors and did notice that one injector was wet.if you look on where the 2 wires goes into connector, you could see fuel. no visible leaks or fuel on im or rail.

any suggestions?

ok, now onto the shift linkage. i'm not sure if it's bent or the tranny.
the linkage doesn't lined up in the shifter hole. it's slightly facing forward.
i've talked to the previous owner and he said be purposely bent the linkage when he rebuilt the motor. not sure why and anyhow the problem is when the car is not running it shifts into gears flawlessly. how when the car is running it takes a couple tries to go into 1st gear. especially when you come to stop and on neutral and to 1st.
some of my buddies said it could be the syncros on the tranny. i'm debating whether to get new linkage or just repair it.

thanks, and sorry for the long threads.

Do you have pressure in the lines over night? May want to hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the fuel line/filter area and let it sit over night. If it drops it could be a leaking pump or injector.

Sounds like the tranny syncros, though it may be a clutch T/O bearing in need of adjustment. Sometimes if you from neutral to second and then first that solves the problem on worn syncros, makes shifting easier...

don't the fuel pressure go down anyways after so many hours. i do have a fuel pressure gauge on top of fuel filter. it does drop to zero after so many hours or overnight.

would the bent linkage has anything to do with shifting into 1st gear. like you said, sometimes i shift from neutral to 2nd then to first. or to 1st twice.

I run e85 on my na ctr. It always has problems starting in the cold. It's the nature of the fuel.

As for your shifting, is it only 1st gear?

I always have starting problems in the cold. If it's a hot morning, which is rare, I live in SF, it starts up fine. But I have not had a tune, so a tune might be your answer.

And I would lean more towards syncro. Does it grind?

it doesn't sounds like, no grinding sound. just a little hard going into 1st
i guess i'll try to to bend the linkage and go from there.
