So I just went to change the oil in my car and when I pulled the hood release it broke. I've tried to use pliers to pull the release and it wont open. My question is how would i get the hood to open? Is there a way to pull the release threw the grille? Oh yeah its a 97 coupe.

Any help would be great thanks

 

you can get at if from under the car or through the grill the cable pulls from the passenger side not the drivers (it loops around)
