you can get a ebay kit for around 800 bucks

Youll need injectors, and dyno tune money 600 or soo more.

BUT you get what you pay for. Ebay turbos can either last years or HOURS.

In the end your better off buying a decent turbo by garret, precision, turbonetics and using the ebay intercooler, pipes and manifold.

And buying a GOOD brand blow off valve and wastegate.

pretty much.....^^^

if you want it to last invest in the moving parts, the piping is easily replaced

I agree, going cheap will end up costing you much more at the end. Just like 10psiLsEf2 and HOODLOVER mentioned, invest properly on the moving components. Pick up a good wastegate, blow off valve and most importantly the turbo unit itself.

Don't forget other important key items such as upgrading your fuel system and a proper engine management system to tune your setup.

This will insure you will have a setup that will last you for some time without parts failing and forcing you to buy twice. Shoot me a PM and I can help you out with the important components needed for your project.

The only way to build a turbo setup on that budget is to buy garbage/junkyard/eBay parts....none of which is a good idea. As with most everything in life, the easy, short-cut, short-term mentality ends up costing more in the long run...turbo setups are no different. By half-assing it, you will spend countless hours diagnosing and fixing problems...in the mean time, your car will most likely be out of commission, so i hope it isn't your daily.

a evo9/10 stock turbo is a great platform for any b series motor that is looking for a daily driver that is fun!!

as far as fuel system goes. a oem fuel pump will do just fine for a 300 hp build.

no need for fuel rail, fuel pressure reg!

My 2 cents

You try that and let me know how it works. For those of us who aren't broke, a Walbro is only $99...cheap insurance

But that's something you'd risk. that doesn't mean it should be done.

a oem fuel pump wont support 450 cc injectors?

I always use walbro 255 in tank on any car na or turbo. But by the way he asked us it seemed like hes on a budget.
