Default Location of pin 1 on OBD0 plugs

i have gotten myself confused as to the location of pin 1 on the plug A. B and C on the OBD0 connectors. does anyone have a definitive explanation, or better yet a photo with the pin identified?

They are both correct, pictures are always looking in from the back side of the connector that plugs in to the ECU

One states that the sequence is across and the other is down and across.

Cheers, i confirmed that as well, by aligning blank spots on the connector with the diagram. i will remove the incorrect image for the records.
