i have a 99 civic dx coupe lowered a little and i was on my way to a buddies house ive never been to before.little did i kno there was a dirt road going to his house.so im crusing and out of nowhere a rock catches the bottom of my car and yanks it...i turn the car off right away to take a look but when i went to check if my car was in nutral i noticed that my gears were all messed up and the shifter sits farther back..its hard to get it into 4th cause third is all the way back now feels like something got tweaked bad.i dont think its tranny cause the gears are great when in.

 

if it's bent you are going to have to remove the linkage and bend it back, I think those still have a linkage,not sure

 

Get the car up on jack stands and look.

 

Agreed.. In order to tell what bent you have to get it up in the air.
If it doesnt bent back and feel sturdy/work properly then its time for the junk yard for another one.
