I have a 99 integra b18b1. The valve seals are bad and i need help deciding what oil to use to help the first start up smoke. I know i need to replace them but im saving up for a rebuild. I am currently using valvoline max life 10w-40. But i hear using a full synthetic oil will help it because it doesnt burn. Can someone help me out please. thank you

 

When my valve seals were going it would throw blue smoke durring vtec... not at start up. Do you rev the **** out of it? If so you may need new rings?

 

It's a b18b1 ls. Non vtec. It only does it during cold starts and when you rape the **** out of it. I'm saving up for a rebuild. But would like to help it out. Till I get all the money right.

 

Or are you trying to prevent it from smoking so you can pawn it off to someone else??

 

No. It's just embarrassing. I just would like a temp. fix till I get my money right. I heard full synthetic oil doesn't burn, ad I'm trying to figure out if its true or not.
