Exedy Clutches on eBay Fake or Real?
Has anyone used a clutch kit from the seller below for $97.97? I have been reading threads that there are fake Exedy clutches on eBay. I also noticed that some cheaper kits only say that the cover is Exedy. Should I be concerned if the disc, throw out and pilot are not Exedy? Rockauto sells an OEM Exedy for $118.79 and I assume that's not a fake but you know what they say about assuming. I'm just looking for an OEM Clutch Kit for my 1999 Civic EX. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

94EG8,
I noticed that also. What I don't want is a defective clutch! Rockauto sells Rhinopac/World Clutches. Never heard of this brand.

I put a Beck/Arnley clutch in a civic a couple of years ago for someone because they couldn't wait for me to order an Exedy clutch on Ebay. What was in the box was a Luk pressure plate, Exedy disc, SKF throwout bearing, and a no name made in Korea pilot bearing. Dynapak kits used to have an Exedy/Daikin pressure plate with a Valeo disc, I don't remember who made the bearings for those kits. I've never heard of Rhinopac/world clutches, but I suspect they're the same idea, mixed matched parts in a box.
Remember a proper Exedy kit is the very same clutch you'd get at a Honda dealership at a fraction of the price. $100 for a genuine Exedy clutch kit is very reasonable.
I had the bad experience of a no-name throw out bearing that I installed in my Del Sol. Lasted about 500 miles. I still have emotional baggage from that dyi.
