Welding on car affect Back up batt?

Default Welding on car affect Back up batt?

Im just wondering if welding needs to be done on the car, will my back up batt be affected, because i will be disconnecting my main battery and my ecu just to be safe.
any thoughts?

I would do the ecu, But you should not have to worry about the battery being messed up. Just when the work is done is plug the unit back up to prevent a flat drain on it. The battery can me damaged that way.

^^ I had work on my frame and pulling the (-) @ the battery was sufficient. I have the DEI backup system fitted to a 7Ah residential alarm battery.

Sorrry, just make sure the back up battery is not allowed to sit is a drained stage. As when you unplug the main car battery, the alarm is still drawing power from it.
