Old post, I know...

I just bought one for my EF hatch. I kinda mocked it up to get a feel for it, and I'm confused about the filler neck. The EF came with two aluminum 90's and a couple of silicon couplers. I'm confused as to how it's going to meet the stock filler neck without having weird dips in it.

Other than that, it looks nice and feels very light. Should free up some weight!

I have one in my car. Its a nice piece, and way lighter than the OEM tank. Only thing is I can not manage to get the sending unit to work, so thats a little annoying.

But other than that, top notch

What's the problem? Isn't it just a one-wire hookup?

Call Jason directly. I called him and he walked me thru it over the phone. Super good dude to deal with.

Tried emailing, but it was difficult to get a response. Grounded the unit off of one of the bolts on the sending unit like he said, but still no go

I wouldn't think that a bolt on the tank would be a good ground as the tank itself isn't really grounded unless you have a ground strap or no insulation on the mounting straps.

Just got off the phone with Jason . He addressed both mine and your issue. The sending unit has one black/yellow wire go to the threaded stud and a black wire goes to one of the bolts holding the sending unit in. Because it senses resistance, if it has a path to ground, it will read full all the time. Make sure the tank is fully insulted and not touching the body or has any path to ground. (I guess stainless lines would count as well?)

As for my long, bendy filler neck, he said its no problem if it has an uphill curve or two. So long as the fill point is higher than the neck on the cell it will fill to capacity just fine. (Think pea trap on a sink.)

This may be off topic but I am looking to purchase the 1.9gal fuel cell and in either photo didn't see a place to vent? Doesn't every fuel system have to vent.

post some pics up after the install if you don't mind Tippyman. I've wanted to see how the tanks bolt up on the EF for a while.

Will do.

Another quick question, where are people running their vent to? I am running E85, so I kinda thought about putting a valve in line with the vent so I can shut it off when not in use to try and prevent moisture absorption.

sorry for the late response we generally never come on honda tech. our units for all the pro series line have billet filler caps with vents built in.

hey tippyman,

the vent -6 fitting is recommended to install on the oem filler neck vent tube. this allows use of the vent in use and a complete sealed system when not. all we recommend is racecars utilizing this setup with high fuel consumption rates or pull type pumps leave the cap cracked open when in use, simply because some setups can vacuum and cavitate the pumps and starve the motor for fuel since the pumps are pushing more fuel then the air can enter in the tank. there is really all types of setups i have seen, on and off the oem tube with success. after, closing the system to seal off from open elements when in storage or not in use.

we appreciate all the kind comments and if you have any questions or tech. dont hesitate to call us direct. emails do get responded generally within 24hours, however with the high traveling rate im doing and the work load to keep orders within a timely manner has been a challenge.

we are focusing on our suspension line up and hoping to release them here in the near future, fully stocked.
