Default 95 Honda Civic: Code 9

Ok so heres the story I was replacing my spark plugs one day and it turned into a huge project had to take off the head put in a thread insert and well the head was off replaced the piston rings and rod bearing but you get the idea well finally got it all put back together turned it on and the check engine light came on also i noticed the car sorta bucking at me so i read the code it was code 9 this is where i am stuck I have done some research about it most people saying they have replaced there distributor I just got payed today was think about getting one do you guys think that is what I should do or is there something else Thanks

BTW its a 95 honda civic EX 1.6 SOHO Vtec (D16Z6)

Ohm test the CYP sensor and its two wires.
