Wow drove my ek to work, lunch time i jumped inside to go get lunch and i felt the pedal feel funny,it was exactly as you explained. Long story short, the clutch slave cylinder went out so i just went ahead and replaced both slave and master cylinder yesterday. Pretty sure one of yours is bad, check the clutch reservoir to see if its empty.

Check fluid level. If leaking, check for leaks inside the car where the pedal goes into the cylinder. If nothing is there, I would imagine that your slave cylinder is shot and needs to be replaced. It is only $15 part at a local store and can be wapped within 15 minutes.

Why wasn't there fluid in the first place? Could be due to a leak. don't ignore it, but do keep an extra bottle of dot 3 brake fluid in your car just in case. If it happens again, or if you notice signs of leaks at your clutch pedal like this, then repair it.

^^That. Fluid doesn't normally just disappear in that system.
