Very dumb question but on my.gsr I noticed that when I took dip stick out to check oil level (car off just drove.it maybe.10 miles last 4 blocks drove.it.hard).it sounded like air escaping and also o checked it again another time but this time from removing the oil cap same thing...why is this? No cel

 

air escaping? like pressure build up?

there should be a pressure relief valve built into the oil pump, but this is usually the case when the oil pressure is high.

 

Yes like air escaping like u open a 2 liter bottle slowly...its weirdd out of all myptors Ive never had.thod happin

 

Ive been reading that may be pcv but thing is dpesnt happin all the time...thats why its weird

Yep, that could be a bad PCV valve. It's cheap to replace, but I recommend you don't buy an aftermarket one if you don't mind spending ~$10 at the dealer.

 

That pressure should be relieved through the intake (hose from air intake to valve cover). Make sure there aren't kinked hoses.
