Default need help! 99 ek hatch with em1 wire full wireharness with no power to ecu

sorry this is alot to read but i would love it if u guys could help me out. thanks

problems:
ey there guys i need alittle help with a wire harness swap i did on my ek. the problem is that the car cranks but wont start. i have checked everything from grounds to relays and fuses and still nothing. the ecu isnt getting any power so im not getting fuel and spark but everything works fine as in lights for the interior and exterior.
setup before change:
the car is a 99 ek hatch it had obd2b wire harness for engine and cabinet. its running a type r motor and everything was working untill i have swapped out the harness.
setup after change:
now in the car im running obd2a wire harness for engine and cabinet. still running the same motor. the engine wire harness is from a 99-00 civic si and the cabinet harness came from a 99 ek coupe. i thought everything would work because its the same year and all but i guess not. i am runnig on a p28
question:
i was wondering whats could be wrong with the harness swap?
do i need something to make wire harness work?
has anyone tired this wireharness swap before??
differance between obd2b and obd2a? (i know the ecu plugs a different)

my other problem is that i spent lots and lots of money on this setup and would like to keep it. im hoping i wouldnt have to spend more money on another wire harness cuz i dont have my old ones anymore.

thanks for the help. if u guys need more info on the set up or dont understand any part of this just ask away..
every little things could help.

Check the thermostat housing ground wire. That's a main harness ground. are you using an obd2a - obd1 ecu/harness adapter?

First of all, I'm confused. You said you are now running an engine harness from a 99-00 SI, and a cabin harness from a 99 EK coupe, (ex/dx/hx?)

These harnesses are both OBD2B harnesses.

Open up your ecu and look/smell to see if the ecu is fried. I had this problem before.

C14 - (biggest) brown capacitor, it's known to leak and cause issues and fry your entire board. It will smell like fish.
