Great news from MIR! The storm has passed by us here at the track. Our power is on and businesses in the area including hotels all have power as well. Also all bridges and roads to the track are open.

We have minor clean-up to do at MIR with moving blown over trash barrels back into place, blowing off leaves, and a couple sponsor signs to put back up. We are very fortunate that the facility did not sustain any substantial damage.

We have our staff now working to prepare the track for this weekend's 17th annual World Cup Finals, and we have a great weather forecast for the event with sunny skies and temperatures near 60 degrees.

So plan now to attend, and we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend at the World Cup Finals for the biggest event of the season!

How is it in Waldorf? I tried calling our hotel and no answer. Hope all is well we coming in from Georgia Thursday night.

 

All our WCF host hotels all have power. Waldorf didnt have any damage, your all good.

 

We had it very mild here in Southern Maryland, all businesses are open.

 

So happy, just hope all the ny and nj guys are able to make it

Jason, any word on how the storm has affected any of the racers and their shops/cars?

Anyone racers not going to be able to make it because of power outages, blocked or impassable roads?

I know it has probably got to be hard on some of the guys from up in the MD, NJ, NY area.

 

You can get about anywhere up here now, road blocks aren't a huge issue right now. The issue is finding fuel to get out of the NJ area.

 

Nah just poor the VP in the tow vehicle and fill up the car or jugs at MIR's pumps. (I am kidding btw that would make towing hella expensive)
