NEED HELP STUMPED DA9 LS/vtec
Just swaped bottom end to a b18b1 because of rod knock..all was working well prior to swapping bottom end the knock sensor I believe is the only thing thats not connected...Cel im throwing is coolant temp and
Problems im running into is high standing idle 3k...cleaned iacv nothing happind
Messd with idle screw car would surge on rev....
There are a couple lines we plugged up vaccum lines that is because there was no place for them on the b1
Im stumped on wtf is going.

There wer onlu I believe two lines that couldnt get hooked up..damn I gotta go to the homies hpuse cuz thats whre the car is...id have to snap some pictures...previous owner hacked.the.wire harness and is too hard to trac everything..there has to be a diagram or something abput doin ls vtec on a b18b1 block the right way...and since the wire harness hass been hacked the temp sensor is one of my CELS and both temp sensors are s@it there not connected...is there some way to bypass that...re pin?
remove the air cleaner boot. KOER, cover the throttle opening with your hand. if engine does not stall, you're leaking vacuum. keep inmind though, a vacuum leak typically will not cause a high idle, as the iacv will just close to make up for the unmetered air, which wil drop idle back down.
also, when adjusting idle, it is absolutely necessary to do so with the iacv disconnected. this way the adjustment is not countered by the iacv. at operating temp, iacv disconnected, idle should read approximately 500rpm. adjust unti it does. reconnect iacv and clear code. idle for 10 minutes, undisturbed, to allow relearn.
if the car stalls when you cover the throttle plate, check the throttle cable. should be about a half inch deflection

Ohms of ect at wartmed up engine should be between 200-400 if not then change sensor. If its within spec measure voltage key on at top ECT connector and a good ground should be about 5 volts if there is measure between the top and bottom of ECT connector not close to 5 volts repair green wire between ecu and c12 of ECT.
Or rest ecu by pulling the 10a hazard fuse for 10 seconds.
Moving idle screw with IACV connected will do nothing it will adjust your adjustments.

he already said the temp sensor was unplugged there, ace.

That's no surprise some other dumbass that cant do a swap the right way. I love how people always try to get around using oem sensors to get performance or whatever makes them cut on wiring harnesses.
