No spark, need help
I have a 96 accord ex with the 2.2 l vtec and I just did an engine seal because I blew up the timing belt on the old engine. So I put in the newer engine that only has 37,000 miles and now I don't have spark. I had the distributor replaced less than a year ago and put that on the new engine, and it looks like I get a faint spark every once in a while but that's it. Any ideas?
No spark = loose or dirty ground or an issue with your ignition.
Check all of the grounds, specially the one that is mounted to the drivers side end of the upper intake plenum. That is the main ground for the ECU, G101.
Also you could check for voltage to the coil and ignitor. You have to trace the loss of power from the spark plugs back to the ignition module.
Do you have a shop manual for your Accord?
