1995 accord EX gauges dead
so i was installing a new tach and when I went to turn everything on none of my gauges work....
All the dummy lights work except Abs Light. Blinkers are good. all other functions in car are fine.
I looked thru the fuses and none are shorted. So I am assuming i somehow shorted out the board. I have a new one on the way.
In the meantime. Is there anything else you could think of?

So are you sure the Oil Pressure light comes on when you turn the key to "on"/pos II.
Check that B10 on the plug has continuity to ground (G402/G404). I don't have a pic from the "wire" side but this is from the "pin" side. B10 is the "common ground" for the Tach, Speedo, Temp, Fuel, Cruise circuit.......

hmmm i know battery light turns on... not sure about oil light... i know my abs doesnt turn on because i can here it trigger but no light....
after I reviewed my pics... I accidently wired new tach with ground to tach signal on board and tach signal to ground...
with it working until I did that I would have to believe I shorted the board... I suck at this wire testing stuff

If that checks out. Jump the YEL/BLU and the BLK, turn the key on. The fuel gauge should move towards full....REMOVE THE JUMP WIRE BEFORE THE GAUGE GETS TO FULL TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE GAUGE!
My gauge is also dead. The needle doesn't move freely so it's stuck at full. It looks good when i go on dates but sucks otherwise. Should I try the same the same thing with jumping the wires?
If the gauge is at full no matter what you do....then replace it, be sure to test after install.
