Default tach

i have a autometer tach and i hooked it up in my 91 civic hatch and i have all my wires hooked up except the light dimme rwire if anyone can help me and tell me where i need to hook that wire up so the light comes on in the tach thanks

you might want to hook it to a key on power with a switch. almost every "monster" tach i've done is done this way. that tach can be bright and annoying at night. also it can get the attention of the wrong people, so a switched power source is smarter. and the shift light works weather the gauge light is on or off.

I put mine in frount of the clock in my 94 teg, so I removed the clock , [have one in my HU] and used the clock wireing for everything except tach, that way I can dim the light, also changed the the illumination bulb to a yellow one, works great. 94
