motor swap help!!??!!
Ok so my f22a went to ****.. i was thinking of dropping a h22 in her but im a bit tight on $$ and every jdm site i look at i cant find a f2.. is there another motor besides the h22 that is a direct fit.. and something that is aroun $1300 or less. f20, f23, h23 etc etc..nplease help i nedd my car asap for work...btw i have a 92 accord lx 5- speed
I'm currently replacing my F22B w/ a F22A and it seems to be pretty seamless. I am stuck on what to use to get the transmission fully removed from the old engine... Here's a picture of the bolts: https://twitter.com/thegools/status/...783808/photo/1
My g-pa had the tool for it forgot what its called but u can either try a part store ( stay away from autozone theyre dumb as ****) or hit up honda dealer, or try ur good friend google i preatty gave up after 8 jsm dealers said that the motor was rare in japan do ima rebuild and upgrade my cam think ill play around with the "f" and build the " h" in my garage till im teady to drop it in
I don't understand the concept that people have no money to fix their car yet they can build the H and play with the F while they need the car ASAP to work? Just drop in the same motor and go to work!
^ hey jackass obviously u cant read i said i was looking for an f because im tight on money and that i was gonna save for an H ... so how bout u read posts a couple times before u try to talk **** or just jump over to someone elses thread.... what a douchebag

A yr ago, I got a jdm H22 from HM Motors. The shop stated it was the cleanest motor they've seen com thru. Quiet and runs well as well.
If I were you, I'd save up and get the h you want. If you're tight on money, do it right the first time, so you don't spend more on redundant/stupid shyte later. BTW along with the motor comes some extra cost, like wire harness, motor mounts, and possibly LSD, if you go for that option.

Yea ive already labeled her as a project.. found out im bout to have kid #2 so im gonna buy a newer civic and save up and build the h22 for my accord i already have the lsd just need harness and ecu..since its now a project its gonna b awile but ahe will be done right maybe when i get it running ill post it up
well congrats on kiddo #2, as far as your build, good luck as well. It'll take as long as it takes but do it right the first time. BTW I do have a harness and ecu, from a 97'h22 but you haven't gotten your motor yet. If you get one from Hmotors it'll come with one, and you'll probably want another non factory ecu, but let me know if you're interested in the harness.
