Some of you may have seen, heard or saw what happened yesterday at IFO. Ole' Charlie Murphy, "darkness" is done. A lot of people have been asking what happened and I really cant say exactly. Either the rim screws sorta "pushed" the bead out or the tire blew. Im about to get out and start looking over stuff.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from fb text and calls. My thumbs are tired from texting soo much. Wanted to say thanks To IHaveturbos for manhandling my door to get me out, while the untrained ff's tried with a halogan tool. I'm just amazed by the amount of people showing support and i appreciate it.

Tony, we have some work to do on the next one.

expect a fast car next year, not much else needs to be said.

 

Seeing and hearing about this made me sick to my stomach. But, the main things is that you walked away from this and have the opportunity to build another car.

good to see your ok and safe. Anyone ever says that safety equipment is dumb and useless should see this crash and the ability for him to walk away and speak about it.

 

With that being said about the track firefighter's, I think that something should be done about this. Glad you are ok Hobbs, I know you will come back even stronger next year. Get back to that track and show those rookies how to pop a door!

Sorry that it happened, it made me sick and its a thought in all of our minds everytime we run our cars at the track.. its a risk we take all the time and this should show the committment to the sport.

Glad to See you are good to go, and have plans to build again, as I said before this **** makes me want to Quit, I totaled my beloved race car 2 years ago, I was still in shock while driving back in the tow truck I shook it off and bought replacement from a friend while tearing it down.

That's terrible. I saw pics on FB that IFO posted. After watching the video posted here a week or two ago, it must be a major kick to the heart to total a car you care for so much. It does show how appropriate the safety gear is and it all did its job well. It is a risk we all take pushing these cars so hard. Glad to hear another car is in the works already. So many people would just give up.

On a good note, it does look like the expensive end of the car is still in good shape.
