Default Bug-in-oil-tank for an Odyssey... Need advice

Alright, so I was changing the oil on my mom's 2007 Odyssey and had just drained it, swapped the filter, and got if off the jacks. I took off the oil cap, set it aside and noticed a little 1/4" bee stuck and dried to the plastic engine cover, pretty much right on top of the oil. As I go to pinch it and take it away, little bugger slips out of my fingers and drops... somewhere. After hoping it went on the floor or ANYWHERE ELSE, I look into the oil receptacle and don't see a thing, just slightly oily bolts and a little 1/4" journal going who knows where. And still no bug.

That said, the first thing that goes through my mind is that we have to take the whole thing apart to find and remove the debris. Which pretty much what my dad suggests when I tell him. Tow truck, mechanic, my wallet, whatever it takes. I've seen some threads about things to catch debris in some oil assemblies, or that the filter could take care of it. My best-scenario thought is that *if* he's in there (by no means certain), he was so dry and small that oil will flow right through him and he'll disintegrate in anything moving.
But then if I'm wrong... All I can think of is, fire, grinding, and doom. Oh my.

Joy.

Any suggestions? I have not the skill to do anything drastic but money is tight and it is my mom's primary source of transportation, so we'll need it soon.

Thanks so much!
Ben
