Cam gears..not AEM, Skunk2, DC
I need to know who can get some good Cam gears. I'm willing to pay for something like Jun, Spoon or Mugen, or if anyone else as some good imput on someother good cam gears. I'm thinking if i'm going to do it right i'd might as well do it right the first time. Thanks for all the info
Cam gears are ONLY good if they are dyno tuned. Mugen and spoon are overpriced, adjustable cam gears are adjustable cam gears. AEM do the job for my car and im pushing out 330whp right now, dont waste your money on Spoon or Mugen, if you want something better then AEM then go for the JUN's.
If you want the best cam gears available it's hard to beat unorthodox racing gears. They are better than JUN and Spoon. http://www.unorthodoxracing.com AEM gears are garbage, regardless if they work with high HP motors.

The new AEM's aren't that bad, but the 3 bolt one's couldn't hold power at all. I use the Skunk2 set and I have had 0 trouble out of them for the 8K miles I've had them on. UR, the new AEM, JUN, or the Skunk2 set would all pretty much be the same, just get whichever is cheaper.

I the reason i'm asking is cause i might have to have my head or deck milled so that would make me have to get some Cam gears.
I'm not trying to diss any company who makes them, i just wanted a pair which i knew wouldn't screw my motor up if the bolt slipped. Which leads to my next question. How many degrees can be adjusted +/- are all of these Cam gears? I some of them like AEM but what about Jun or Skunk2.

dunno about those, but i have had my AEMs for a while, its adjustable from -5 to +5 for both intake and exhaust, it works good, u can tell the difference by playing with them
lolz anyways, aem is good, its like Gude said, cam gears are cam gears, as long as they get the job done, dont need to spend triple the amount it.

Are there any that fit inside the plasitc covers? On all the ones I've seen, you have to cut and hack on the plastic timing belt covers to get them to fit without rubbing. Anyone (not) experience this?
I'm currently using Venom cam sprockets, no problems thus far. They feature multihex bolts for more accurate torque values plus they are very light. Basically though like other stated, a cam gear is just a cam gear. Shoot for a lightweight product.
