Default Can a chipped p28 be change to run Neptune?

I am about to pick up a second ecu that is a chipped p28. I was told it has a zif socket and that it would be very simple to remove the chip and install Neptune. I just want to verify that is correct before I purchase??

Thanks for the help!!!
