Default Coolant Leaked Inside Car/Passenger Side

I recently replaced my heater core because of the coolant leak i saw came out from underneath my glove compartment. Two weeks later, i discovered my reservoir coolant tank was drain. I thought it was the radiator, but three days later found coolant leaked on the passenger carpet side. It was soaked with green liquid. I am sure it's coolant and not water. Does anyone have any idea why?

Inspect the heater core again. It could be a bad core, bad hose, or loose connection.

Probably a loose hose connecting to the heater core.

DOA heater core, less likely a connection or heater hose as the hose connections are on the the engine bay side of the firewall, leaks there would end up on the ground.

It is possible one or both of the heater hoses is/are pushed on so far up the code pipes they are at the hole in the firewall for the heater core "pipes", a loose hose clamp could let coolant seep into the car, unlikely, but I would check for that before I go ahead and pull the dash again.

If the heater core you got was the kind with the core pipes, "crimped", [O ring seat] into the core...

It is much more likely that it is leaking at one of them, the likelihood goes up, if it was a "budget" priced heater core.

With that said, the possibility of it being a heater core problem even if it is a stock or premium replacement unit is still high.

Did you check for leaks before installing the core? 94

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just found out the heater core and everything else was fine. What happened was that the person who did the labor didn't clean up the coolant from the previous leak. It was left there along with the previous water spill i had, so it made it seems like there was an actual leak.

So far the heater core/ Spectra Premium from Oreily is working fine. Did research and it was made from Canada. It had pretty good reviews on it.

Specta is a good brand, we use a lot of both the heater and evaporator cores, very few problems. 94
