having problem w stick shift its getting stuck like the lock is on. it got stuck while in drive last time went to go into park would not go past neutral. second time would no go into gear from park, cant even push in button. any ideas

When was the fluid last changed?

 

Interlock system between brake pedal and trans lever. Cable could be out of adjustment. Search

 

Brake switch could be bad, its a 20 buck part. can you use the bypass on the shifter to move it around? The brake switch will lock you out if it dosent see the brake peddle pushed in
