what are the consequences of driving on a bad throwout bearing?
ive been driving on a bad throwout bearing for a while now and was wondering what are the consequences of driving on a bad throwout bearing?
First, how did you come to the conclusion it was bad. It really isn't that common to see a Honda with a bad throwout bearing, bad transmission input shaft bearings on the other hand are much more prevalent.
Second if it is indeed the throwout bearing you may end up with some excessive finger wear on the pressure plate and if it flies apart you probably wont be able to disengage the clutch.

i believe it is bad because when i slightly press on the clutch, i can hear a rattling noise coming from my engine bay and I can also feel my clutch pedal vibrate. But only when i'm on neutral or the low gears. Also, when my car isn't warmed up, the clutch squeaks and the rattling noise is louder. Is not not just the throw out bearing?
