Hi I have a 1993 Honda civic del sol si 1.6 vtec motor. I just finished putting on a full headers back exhaust system and when I go to quickly accelorate I get some white smoke, not alot but still noticeable, and after I shift I get a sort of back fire coming from the exhaust...and also when I am idling I can sometimes smell a strong exhaust smell inside the **** pit. I know there are no holes I mean everything is new and correct gaskets...I have a little bit of oil leaking from my valve cover in the left front corner. Check my oil often and its still alright so it not leaking bad. If someone has some advice for the backfire and smoke I'd sure appreciate it. I want my car to sound better. I don't want all the back fireing when I'm "getting on it" as some people put it. The valve cover will be replaced soon. My only problem is the back fires after I shift and the smoke. Thanks
