Identify these cams please
searched all around to identify these cams that are supposedly type r ...but i can't find a picture to match these....
it has 3 protruding rings on both cams
my intake cam looks just like a b17 intake cam as you can see in the picture below used as a reference

but the exhaust cam doesn't match the b17 exhaust cam showed in the picture above, it doesnt have the ring around the tip.
not sure if somebody can clear this up for me i'd appreciate it!
also they both have a stamp "M" in the middle of the shafts idk if that helps.

can't be because i have a GSR head and i compared it to the cams and the GSR is like the b17 with the enraved ring around the tip on the exhaust side. as for mine it doesn't have the ring at the tip, instead it's enclosed.
*edit
here's a pic of 94+ GSR which looks almost identical to the b17 one i posted above.

Well if you've got GSR cams sitting around just get a ruler and measure the lift of both cams. If the unknown cams are bigger, they're ITR. If not...
Back from the dead still haven't been able to identify these cams...does anybody know what these cams are? Also is there a spec sheet where i can look up the measurements?
they are not gsr cams
look closer
I have 2 sets of gsr cams and b17 cams and early b16 cams its none of those
they don't match any b series cams
looks like someone tried to make them into b17 cams
most likely they are aftermarket regrind of b17 cams
best way to measure them

anybody know a website where i can look for the spec sheet for aftermarket and stock cams sizes?
measure them and post it here.
theres plenty of pages that list stock Honda cam sizes and a lot of aftermarket.
I have a suspicion that these are stock b16a2 cams that someone tried to turn into gsr or itr. or maybe regrinds to gsr specs so they put a ring on it lol

I will have stock b16a2 cams soon.
and have 89 b16 exhaust
b17 intake
gsr
to measure with vernier caliper
so you can measure at home and post it here
how do I properly measure the cam lift when the lobe is not centered?

Can't be...the b16 have no rings around them.
There is no way these were tampered with, they are perfectly machined right. I took em to a performance shop around town and was told that they might be old school Toda cams, but they could be wrong. Supposedly Toda didn't mark their cams back in the day and made their cams OEM style...is this true can anyone confirm this? I will measure them, just have to go get a micrometer.

MEASURE THEM. Damn, its not rocket science. Measure the base circle, measure the highest point. Big number - small number = max lift. Do that with the GSR and the unknown cams and post the numbers on here.
Those rings are obviously not factory made. They have been put there by another method. You will not find out what they are without measuring them.

I have 2 sets of GSR cams that look IDENTICAL to your cams. One came out of 94 GSR and the other a 95 GSR engines sealed from factory. One JDM and one USDM. Say whatever you want, have fun trying to figured it out for years to come since you don't know how to measure things. LMFAO...
turbo crv you say a lot of inaccurate things
you should post them here because 2 of my gsr sets do not look anything like that.
unless you blind
