Default So my clutch is dying?

I have noticed i am riding the clutch a lot more, especially during take off.

So i did an experiment where, from stationary i put the car in 1st and slowly let the clutch out without any throttle and the car just rolled and did not stall. No accelerator at all.

Car was warm.

Am i correct to assume clutch is starting to slip?

DC2R with 85,000KM (52,000miles) as far as i know, it is still OEM clutch.

My pedal also has a lighter feel to it, and the bite point is about 1/5 way to the top.

The bite point is still noticeable, i can hold the car on a hill without using the e brake.

Its not impossible to start the car moving with out being on the gas. That does not indicate a slipping clutch. To see if you have a slipping clutch go on the highway and in 5th gear run the car WOT up to a reasonable speed (not condoning speeding on public roads) if the RPM's increase without the speed increasing then the clutch is slipping. If its going to slip at all it will slip in 5th first as that gear places the most load on the transmission and clutch.

stick it in 5th, and if the engine revs up without stalling, then it is a bad clutch.

Would this work better at a higher or lower speed?

So try and take off in 5th gear?
