Default having vtec problems!

i have a gsr block with a b16 head fresh rebuilt. just recently went for a tune and the car wasnt hitting vtec. set to engage at 5500 it would rev to about 6k. loose all power and barely climb past 7k. No Check engine light. i asked the tuner to disable vtec and it sound and did the exact thing.... so im thinking its an oil pressure problem i ran an external hose from the oil pressure switch whole to the head. now the car hits cut out and wont go past 5500 almost like a rev limit....

the b16 head was used on my lsv and must have overlooked the plug in the head... but why is this cutting out like a rev limit at 5500 right when vtec is trying to engage, is it possible it just needs a tune....anyone experience this?

not sure why your car isnt revving up, but if your head was recently rebuilt id check for a missig dowel/o-ring under cam cap number 3

check your oil pressure. at idle, and at 3000 rpm. see if it's within spec
