99 civic dx y8, power steering fluid in clutch line
I just got my y8 swapped and running but now won't shift, I went to bleed the clutch and found power steering fluid in the master cyl resivoir, I asked a friend and he said that the ps fluid has ruined the seals in the master and slave cylinders, could this be true? I was unable to kind any leaks. I compared the travel the slave has with my 97 and they both move about an inch and a half, I first thought that my clutch fork may have came off the tob but when I shift into first with car off and clutch in, it fires up and when I let the clutch out it has about a centimeter before the clutch grabs, but won't go in to gear while running, with makes me think the line needs bleed or the disc may need replaced, with brings me back to the ps fluid.. Also should add that before I bought the car it worked fine and the car that the y8 came out of also worked fine Any help is appritiated

You probably did mess the seals up.the only thing left to do is flush out the fluid put brake fluid in there bleed the system and see what happens.I still think you might end up having to replace the slave and master cylinder tho.
