gsr axle problem
so recently i just install a axle on my gsr(driver side). the axle i got wasn't for a gsr but for a ls/gs model but i search around and found out that they all are interchangeable. when i took the axle out and lay it next to the new axle everything match up so i install it. after putting everything together i test drove it to make sure everything is fine but around 3500-4000 rpm i can feel my steering wheel shake a bit also by the gas pedal where my foot rest it feel as the axle is skipping or not spinning smoothly(sorry dunno how to put it in words) after 4000 rpm tho it run fine as this only happen at about 3500-4000 rpm. so i jack it up again and double check to make sure everything was on tight and nothing missing. only thing i see is what in the pix. is that consider all the way in or it suppose to be flush in? or does axle has break in period also and just need to be break in? this problem didnt occur until i change my axle(cuz the boot was crack and grease was all over)
Remand from pepboys but after some more research im just order a oem one and wait for it and put that in since after alot of reading it seem like aftermarket seem to give alot of people vibration problem
Depends on what kind, I use Raxles on my 94... http://www.raxles.com/ 8 years of autocross with a GS-R transmission and Phantom Grip LSD and a 75 shot ZEX system and the axles are still good, it is also my DD in summer. 94
