I ended up with a 91 integra with an automatic in it and it ran and drove fine for a couple months. The D light never worked but seemed to engange all gears while in drive. However, the engine would randomly die while driving and the S3 light would flash. At first,I could turn the key off and restart the car and continue on without incident for a week or so. This problem eventually got worse to the point where I would have to turn the key off and walk away for awhile to allow the car some time to think about wether it wanted to start or not... Furthermore the tranny seems to be slipping when it does run. I don't know if I'm dealing with two separate problems or if they're connected. The obvious solutions are to throw it in the gutter and go buy another or replace the automatic with a 5 speed. Neither one of those are an option. Can someone please help me? The car spent 6 Weeks at a repair shop with no repairs made and now its on jack stands in my garage ready for a transmission removal. Thanks
