Default Bad fuel pump?

Hey guys- unfortunately my integra is a 1993 so if I have to replace the fuel pump I must drop the tank.

So i unplugged my map sensor for literally a minute to re-route the wiring underneath the intake manifold (b18c motor). After I did this I went to start the car and it fires up and dies within a few seconds, I restart it, it fires up and almost immediately dies as if it's not getting fuel. (yes yes the map sensor is plugged back in snug i didnt forget When the key switches to the ON position, I can hear the fuel pump buzzing/priming, the check engine lights goes off as it should( main relay is working) but when i start the car just dies as if it has no fuel. If I rev the car right when I turn the key it will rev for a bit but very weak like it wants to die. Is it safe to say my 19 year old fuel pump took a crap on me?

My multimeter is deciding not to work either today so I can't check voltage to the pump, but it sounds as if the electric portion of fuel is working properly. Thanks

Very strange I just came home and started the car and it started with a VERY LOW idle, under 500 rpm.
The car was sputtering like it wanted to die but stayed running, when I would rev the car the lights would brighten up but it would rev weak, eventually it died as I was revving. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

The car was starting and running strong earlier in the day.

"I would rev the car the lights would brighten"
Redo your main grounds, batt. post and cable clamp, batt. to chassis ground, [under batt.] and chassis to engine ground, DO NOT just eyeball the connections, remove/clean/reconnect.

Poor main ground connections are a far more common problem on your car then a bad fuel pump, so do them befor you go through the work of replacing the fuel pump.

The grounds may or may not be your problem, but either way it can not hurt to redo the main ground on your 20 year old car. 94

FCM, the grounds are basically all new and super clean, tight. They were redone a few thousand miles ago so this is not the problem. All grounds were replaced and the main ground on thermo housing was sanded down, cleaned and tightened.

The car will start but the RPM are super low, under 500 and the motor is shaking and wanting to die, there is also a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust. If i rev it, the car revs weak and dies.

Now the only thing that was done to the car before it started acting like this was re-routing the MAP sensor under the intake manifold. The DA integra has a firewall mounted MAP and my 94 GSR motor has the MAP sensor on top of the throttle body.

I taped up the plugs that werent being used for the stock firewall mounted MAP sensor. There is also 2 small metal plugs that go to the brake resevoir for fluid level (I am not using this), so this was taped with the stock map plugs and hidden away. I have no idea if this could have anything to do with what the car is doing. I went and untaped the plugs and made sure no metal was touching to be safe but still the same thing. Any ideas, what to troubleshoot next? Thanks
