Anyone running this muffler on there teg. I am getting 2.5 inch crush piping with it. Wondering if they are enjoying the sound they are getting from it.

 

i'm running es tunings 2.5 muffler w/ 2.5 mandrel bent piping w/ resonator. the sounds is nice. its a deep tone with no hints of raspiness at all. painted it flat black as well so looks complete stock.

 

Nice, i am hopefully picking mine up this weekend. So you have a pic you can send my. I am thinking of painting it flat black also, what paint did you use.

i have that same exact set up.....i have 98 gsr with 2 and a half inch piping.....w/ the es oval type muffler.....it gives me good top end....but beware if you dont like loud cars.....it is extremely loud with customized piping..but i like it

Where did you guys get your custom piping from? I know Kteller8 is selling mandrel bent stainless piping for 250 shipped, is this a good price?

thats my next mod, i have a thermal ss cat back but i have NEVER liked the round canister look. i'll just chop it from the axle back and sell the thermal muff, prolly break close to even. anyone have any more pics?

 

What kind of resonator are you guys using? I wanna use this muffler on my crx, but I don't want it to sound real abnoxious.

 

no resonator here...its loud as hell ...but seems to give better top end..

 

wow.. it does look stock. but if its loud as fock.. then theres no point in gettin it cuz thats the main reason why i would get it. i need stock look and a quieter exhaust. mine is loud enough as it is.

 

compared to my greddy evo, the es is quieter

unless youre running massive hp you dont NEED anything bigger than 2.5"

i got this muffler too wit 2.25 mandrel bent piping catback, no resonator, its a nice deep sound until 4500 rpms then it kinda buzzes and when vtec is engaging, it gets crazy and buzzes..why does mine buzz and some others dont like mentioned thanks

 

maybe theres an exhaust leak. mine use to rattle because of my cat. but i change my cat and got bigger piping. im gona takk mine back to the muffler shop cuz that rattling only happens when i floor it wot. other than that if u want somthing quite get a dynomax or magnaflow. it looks almost the same as the es oval. but the sound is much quiter. a friend of mine has it. i just love the way it sounds.
