Hey guys, i've looked around and i can't find anything on the dimensions of del sol seats or a design template i guess you would call it. My wife said she would re-do my seats so i'm looking for the dimensions. If I have to remove my seat and let her measure it then that's fine. Just thought it'd be easier to remove them once she is actually done with the material. Thanks in advance!

 

I went through this a while ago reclothing my seats with crush velvet. The best thing to do is to remove them, label the panels, and use a reamer to split them. Use the old pieces as a template.

 

What is a reamer?

 

Seam Ripper.
Take them apart and have her make the templates.

getting the upholstery to stick with the correct adhesive is difficult.
Del sol seats are heat pressed into the foam.
Not impossible but can be very challenging.
Search google there are some HT threads on it.

 

Seam reamer. If your wife is handy with a needle and thread, she has one.
