A guy off craigslist? Was he certified to work on cars? If so call the BAR on him if not your screwed. It doesnt take beating new axles in just some grease on splines.

for real man you need to make him fix that or something..
he probably forcefully hammered the axles in without even feeling if it was lined up correctly and now its probably jammed in there.youre risking it stripping in there..

So this "guy off of CL" is a metaphor for a legit shop, right?

Pull the axles and look for damage. Not much we can do for you at this point I would imagine.

Lesson learned I assume. Do it yourself, or take it to a reputable shop.

Why did he take the axles out? Removing the axles has nothing to do with installing coilovers. Youre gonna hsve to remove your axles and inspect.

Somebody does not know how the BAR works.

Yes, axles do not need to be removed to install "coil overs".

Your trusty CL mechanic may have banged on your shift linkage. Hard to imagine what else would cause you hard shifts after R&R'ing your axles. You should take this to an actual mechanic for inspection.

I dont think shift linkage is any where near driveaxles or coilovers? At least not on my 91 teg.....op if the guy was a mobile mechanic the bar will help you

For the BAR to be able to help, the shop or professional must be a member of the BAR. I'm guessing the CL guy does not qualify.

On any B-series tranny, the shift linkage is close enough to where the axles go that an errant hammer swing, particularly from a CL professional, could bend them.

Axles typically slip right into the the differential with little effort. Who knows what this guy did with his trusty hammer.

What is it with you guys? Can't make a simple post without getting all worked up. I'll try to make this as simple as possible so that you can understand it.

Any monkey can buy a hammer and a screw driver and call himself a mechanic. He doesn't need any certification or training, just somebody who is willing to let him beat on their car. The BAR cannot do anything about this guy. This would be a case for the civil courts.

I'm sorry that you feel inadequate about not having a B16. Not sure why you brought that up. I'm here because I'm trying to help some of these guys that have questions about their Integras. Sometimes I have questions too and others answer them for me. I thank them, not call them know it alls and *** holes.

I've read many of your posts and you seem really easy to anger. If you have some sort of inferiority complex or something, check it at the keyboard. If you can't have an intelligent exchange with other people on this board who are trying to help others, then maybe you should find another forum.

X2
This guy gets his panties in a knot all the time, he needs anger management, his go to response to anyone he disagrees with is to berate them and call them names, not unlike the grade school bully he probably was.

The best way to deal with his kind is to just ignore him.

Not sure why a mod has not reprimanded him already, if he opens his pie hole again with is dribble, I will just have to point it out to a mod.
Where you at Jimmy? 94

I appriciate the few of you who gave me some words of advice, didnt mean to upset anyone.
the car is my dd and im a pretty broke younger guy.
the car is hard to get into gear but once i do it seems to take off fine.
am i damaging the transmission or at worse damaging the axle?
axles are $50 at autozone and i can replace soon if its recommended.

As far as craigslist goes ive learned my lesson.
cheaper work gets you more expensive bills to repair the cheap work.

i do most stuff myself but a 20 year old suspension needs torches and some specialtly tools, so i had to get a hand.

thanks again guys, looking forward to learning new stuff in this forum.
