07 Civic Sedan - Stalling and Shutting off
My 2007 Civic Sedan (5 speed) stalled out the other day at Stop Sign. Now will start, sputter & spit for a minute, then shut off again. Tried changing the Spark Plugs and putting gasline anti-freeze in gas tank, no change. Can't find any information online. Have looked into changing fuel filter, but it's located inside the gas tank according to local Honda dealer - so that will be a last resort option. The car has been 2 days in a garage and is still doing the same thing, starting up, spitting, sputtering and shutting off. Anyone else have this trouble??
to me that sounds fuel related. i had this problem before when the fuel pump was on its way out and wasnt making enough pressure at the rail...on a dc teg. can u keep it alive if u push the gas pedal down?
do you have any check engine lights? what is the condition of your air filter? i dont know if the R18 has an idle air control valve (iacv) or not but i would look into that as well. possibly just bad gas if the car sat for an EXTENDED period of time.
