My buddy has a GSR and is looking for an intake manifold, and a pair of cams. He is planning on goin all motor. What IM and cams do u suggest. He is thinking about a Type R IM and Civic type R cams, or Skunk 2 IM and SKunk 2 stage 1 cams.

JG Edelbrock for all motor, Skunk for a stock motor plus the little stuff cams and no pistons

 

Skunk2 IM and cams, JG is only good for higher up RPM's.

 

Would the Skunk2 IM be the best for all-motor LS as well. Does anyone have dyno or times before and after IM.

 

i put a skunk 2 im on my ls. i like it alot. when i first got i didnt like it cause i got a fpr at the same time and had the pressure up to high. when i leaned it out i fell in love with it. very nice high end. its kinda bitch to install though

 

how much are the Skunk2 IM going for these days? and the Skunk2 Cams?

 

Skunk ... I think Im should be about 310 or so and cams around 750 or so? Might be wrong. Just I thought though, I do believe that you need to upgrade the springs for the cams. Also get cam gears.

 

Keep the stock manifold and just get civic type R cams with cam gears , then dyno.

 

are CTR cams better than skunks 1/2's?

 

depends how much you want to spend. On a low budget go with CTR cams and Skunk 2 IM.

 

skunks are more aggressive.

I'm not gonna say which IM to get...cuz I still have a stock one. I will be trying the Skunk2 one soon

 

An ITR manifold will not fit on a B18c1 head!
