Switching Thermal sensors
i Got an 89 civic ef with b18a1 block and b1 head.
I was wondering if i can put a 2 prong thermal fan sensor back of the block. like this picture

and just leave the one on the themostat not plugged. will it still work?
I have one on my d15 block
Dont feel like extending it to the thermostat.
Rather use the 2 prong one.

I thought about doing that before too. If you tap the block so it can thread and make an appropriate hole I don't see why it wouldn't work. My experience is coming from the D-Series block though, the 92-95 1.6 block I was working with had the provision to mount it the "older" way but it wasn't tapped or drilled through. I ended up extending the wires though, I didn't feel like spending for a tap kit for a one time use.
