Check VIS for a really good finish and fit... as opposed to some other lighter hoods.

Fiber Images is pretty nice. I think they retail for a $450 at most shops, but you can find them cheaper.

 

a good CF hood to me is one where the latch won't break while driving

Here is my VIS hood, are you in so cal? if so i know a guy that sells them brand new for $320, and you can just pick it up.

he doesnt ship, as far as i know hes just real tight with VIS and hook local people up.

Vis is the best because u dont need any hood pins because it has a full skeleton!!

 

you should check out fiberimage's hoods.. they have a couple of crazy tests on their hoods ie. ran it over with a car, dropped a rim on it, and jumped on it....my freind has one on his eg, it bends like plastic..

 

I just ordered mine from VIS, from what i hear they have the best fit (besides spoon maybe) i will post pics when i recieve it and get it installed.

Uh, I dont know about that, I had a friend who had his VIS hood fly up when he was going about 110 mph and his hood came up, smashed the roof......$3000 later, he'll never get another carbon fiber hood.

moral of the story, ALWAYS use hood pins

 

dont you think the moral of the story should be dont drive at 110mph? especially with a cf hood, did he have pins?
