Default How could you make a generic o2 sensor (1 wire) work on your integra?

I've got a pretty banged up second o2 sensor,

The previous owner just snipped the wiring harness and tucked it away and left the second o2 sensor sitting after the cat and bent it back,

I think that's the reason my turboed GSR is running like SHIET!! it's running way too rich, sooooooooo I"m going to replace that second sensor but I dont' want to pay the 150+ for a o2 sensor in case that's not the problem.

Solution: Reading through the archives on "o2 sensors" I see that some people bought a generica one wire o2 sensor and made it work, now how does that work?

I believe our wiring has 4 wires,

I also have an extra o2 sensor off a 92 prelude, which is 4 wires also? Could that work? Thanks in advance guys

iirc, our O2 sensors have 2 wires each. A 1 wire sensor still really uses 2 connections, but the second connection is through the sensor's housing (ie it's ground aka negative). So, you would just take the left over O2 wire and ground it. But, make sure you are grounding the correct wire or you'll have problems.

We did the exact same thing with a knock sensor when my friend swapped engines in his Cavalier Z24.
