My 2002 Honda S2000 is having all kinds of problems. I've had it looked at and guy said it was a misfire.. something about the 1st cylinder (I guess someone bent something) But it used to take forever to heat up, now that's fixed, the car still stutters and sounds like a lawn mower at random times, at others, it runs great. Any ideas??
-Fyi, the turbo has been removed, have no clue if it's been tuned right.. yes, another classic story of a girl buying something because it's "pretty"...

 

What engine management is it using?

 

I have no idea. They fitted a turbo on it.. but took it off, so I know they tweaked some things. The top of the engine says VTECH.. apart from the obvious, I dont know how to answer that question :/

Sorry it took so long to reply. Crazy schedule.

 

The drivers window doesn't roll up and the soft top has rips. I left the car sitting while I was deployed. Then had to leave it again when I moved to Egypt. So a few things have gone south on it.

 

Sounds like you just need to take it to a place that can go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Two shops in WA State come to mind, Speedfactory or Kaizenspeed. Google them, see who is closer, and schedule an appt.

 

the f20c is known to crack retainers if you misshift. (eventually burning a valve or dropping it). it is the first thing that comes to mind regarding your missfire.

 

sound like you need a new car.
