Icon2 96 Accord EX P1300 code

my grandson's 96 accord ex run's smooth good accelleration starts and idles
hot or cold. Its sticker time and the MIL stays lit. It reads P1300 codes
"random misfire". The vehical has new plugs, wires, cap & rotor fuel filter and air cleaner. He also installed front and rear O2 sensors a TPS and a MAP
sensor. The result of all this is the light is still on,and it now seems to be my
problem. Please is there anyone who help me make it go away or where I shoud start?

Were the spark plug wires rewired the right way? I made a bonehead mistake of changing my wires and somehow got them mixed up when I was putting them back on the distributor cap... My engine started but I had misfires and didnt even know it. Check the firing order and make sure all is good.

And if you replaced everything due to the CEL; then you need to clear the codes after everything has been installed. Only then will you know if they are still malfunctioning.

the plug wires are good (I double checked) I reset the computer and blew 100
miles on the car it ran smooth the whole time. But the MIL lit back up and it gave me the P1300 again. what do ya think ? computer or sensor issue or more of a timing thing. the car hasn't sputtered once

Try compression testing and see if you have low compression in a cylinder that might cause the misfire?

Driving is fine? No symptoms? Just a CEL?

You could clean out your egr ports and egr valve. This job isn't that hard for your car. You can check the video that "eric the car guy" on youtube did for your gen.

Well EGR valve was reasonalby clean. it seems to function, its opening and closing as I rev motor. I did a compresion test and came up with 180 to 185 psig across the board. Is this OK ? I cant find a spec. and the saga continues
The light shines on.

Pull the egr port plate and clean that out too. It could be the ports.

If i have a 1996 honda accord ex and I'm having the same problem and I've already replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel injectors, oil filter/oil change should I change the fuel pump assembly as well or should I try cleaning the egr valves and egr ports first?
