ok, this guy just posted this on CL and says it's a "fully built" H22
now given that i'm not "too familiar" with the H series motors, i don't think that an H22 that is naturally aspirated can put out "350-400 whp".
he's got no pics up, and no dyno sheet to back it up..
i call bullshit.
so, is it even possible for an H22 motor to achieve that kinda HP?

Certain H22 combinations are definitely capable of making 350-400whp, it all depends on the setup. The ad states "high compression" and E85. Two ingredients for making power but E85 isn't going to cut it.
Email/call/txt the guy and get more details on the setup. If you skeptical about his reply detailing the combination of parts used, just post back in this thread for a confirmation of "It's possible" or "Not happening".

lol.
Just looked at the website. I'm going to go out on a limb on the craigslist ad, judging by their website, DragonKustoms.com hasn't/isn't building 350-400whp H series.
Could be wrong....but not likely.

Just the price is wrong. It takes a lot more money to build a car with less HP
Same motor ran 12.00 in a Accord.

That's Scott's (member 2point6) F series build. What's your point? He was selling the whole car for $8500. That included "12k" Engine and "5k" Trans. It is extremely difficult to get even half the money invested back when selling these kinds of built to race setups.
Either way, this guy more than likely doesn't have what he claims to have. Reason being, there are/have been only a few guys to make that kind of power N/A and DragonKustoms.com, I'm sure isn't one of the them.

he says car makes between 350-400. if the car was dyno tuned he would have a little more specific of a number.. no? so you can only assume he doesnt have it tuned.. if it does exist, is this what you wanna get caught up in?

yea, that's what threw me off. was the huge range of "possible" HP
now if this were a turbo setup, i could see a difference due to boost increase. but with an all motor setup, it seems like a build like that would consistently produce the same numbers. and an exact number at that.
and also, doesn't higher compression motors require higher octane gas? so that doesn't seem right that it's "tuned" for E85 crap gas

My point is that it takes a lot of money and time to make something like the ad claims to be and like you said Dragongkustoms does not look like they can make it happen.

yes its possible
i broke 350whp (dynojet) and dont have a dyno sheet to back it up, no need for it. when your on the dyno tuning a race engine and trying to find power before hitting the track, the last thing your worried about is a dyno sheet.
after hundreds of dyno passes on several engines you just dont worry about dyno sheets. at least i dont anyway
