Help with D to B motor swap
First off I joined awhile ago but have actually just recently got into Hondas. I know very little about motor swaps and am finding it hard to research. I own a prelude now but am looking for a civic also.
I have a local importer that gets truck loads of JDM motors once a week. I can get my hands on a B20 out of a CRV with under 100K for $600. I want to swap this into a civic 5spd and was wondering what years would be best to look for? Also what is needed to make the swap?

please use the search button. just simply put in "b20 swap civic" and you will find millions, if not billions of pages of results since the b series is arguably the most popular swap for civics.
Just did it on my Del Sol...
Without knowing the civic you have, its the equivalent of swapping a B18B LS engine in.
You need:
Engine
B-Series Transmission
Shift Linkages
Starter
Alternator (easiest way, but you can reuse the d-series alt. with modification)
Rear T-bracket
Radiator Hoses
Exhaust Manifold / B-series Header
ECU (p75 obd1 w/ conversion harness or obd2)
B-series Distributor
And about 5 days to do it for the first time, ALL BY YOURSELF, given you have another form of transportation to get last minute parts, a great parts store near you, and NEARLY every little piece ready and together that I may have missed like lower torque mounts, B-Series Manual Jack Shaft, T/B, W/P, coolant, oil, tranny oil, etc. etc.
