B18b. Put the car at top dead and changed out the cam seals one at a time. retorqued everything, adjusted the valves. Went to start it and it idled very low for 5 seconds (less than 500rpm.) After that nothing, just cranks. I had my ecu reset fuse out for two hours while doing the work.

 

did you rotate the engine COUNTER-CLOCKWISE when you adjusted the valve lashes? Rotating it the other way (clockwise) will throw it off.

 

Mechanical timing correct?

Plug wires in correct firing order?

 

I rotated it in counterclockwise motion. Plugs are in the right order. I'll replace the plug wires tomorrow see if that helps. Maybe a couple of them are ripped and i cant see it. Double checked the lash today also, it was fine.

 

AFAIK my distributer can't be put on 180 out
