Help car will not start!!!!
I just recently installed new oil seals that go right behind the cam gears. When I took out the number 4 and number 3 spark plug I noticed there was oil in there. So could that be the seals on the vlave cover or the does that mean my rings are bad?
SO here my real question. I reset the cam timing and the cam gears were off by like a mm to top dead canter. Now when I start the car, it wount turn over.
Is that because of oil on the spark plug wires?
Or is it because the timing is off by a little?
TIA

Re: Help car will not start!!!! (vtec69)
The car would try to start itself even if you didn't have ANY spark plugs in there. So I don't think that would be the problem.
Do a compression test. If the results are fine for all cylinders its most likely your seals.
But that still shouldn't affect whether your car even turns over or not. I'm not sure about that. Sorry, hope my info helped a little
